After a recent IE/Windows update the flash content and other objects (Windows Media, Real Player, Quick Time) cannot be displayed correctly and appear with a gray border and a text "click here to activate and use this control". This page provides sample codes and info about how to fix this issue by adding a javascript around the flash object in order to remove the gray border that ways "click here to activate and use this control".

This is a contact form made in flash and php, it can be used on 'contact us' pages. A flash file contains the form items and when the 'send' button is pressed it sends the values to mailer.php, this mailer.php sends the email to the receiver. Few of the benefits of using a flash form instead of a html contact form are: better user interface and less junk messages (automated scripts cannot send emails through a flash form unless it is decompiled). The component can be used mainly to display a team members, with the possibility to add and image, name, job title and bio for each member, the image being optional. It is obvious that it can be used in a multitude of ways (news reader, gallery,etc). It is xml driven and resizable. Graphics can be edited within the source .fla.

Note : You can add an unlimited number of tabs (xml entries), however if there are too many, the slide speed will be very fast. To prevent this, try to keep a resonable amount of tabs (xml entries).

This slick preloader flash component is easy to use in your projects and also easily customisable.
Implementation is pretty much drag and drop in your project, recompile the flash .fla and voila, your flash project now has a preloader script.
This particular round preloader design shows the percentage loaded text in the middle while four light orbs are rotating around the outer rim of the loader. As soon as the content has been loaded, the preloader will fade out on top of it.
It's light weight, just 10kb, all the graphics are vector based.
The component design, all of it's colors and special layer effects are easy to customize inside the library once opened in Flash.

This is a highly customizable autoplay banner rotator. The following options can be changed in the XML config file: - you can setup the width and height for the banner - you can setup a stroke size, this size will be added to the total width and height, or you can set this to 0 and have no stroke around the banner - you can specify the blur amount to be applied when scroling the images - you can also specify the autoplay value in seconds. If you want to disable autoplay just set it to 0 - you can also choose between starting paused or in playing mode - you can also specify the amount of seconds for the app to wait, after you have pressed the next or previous button - you have a html formatted descripton with its background which will resize according to text. While the design of this news reader is clean and simple, the engine is quite complex and feature rich. Just go through all the options and you'll understand why this is a very flexible and sturdy solution to your content display needs.
It is resizable (you can set the width and height in the xml) and the scroll bar will only appear if the content is larger than the designated heigh.
It supports css (cascading style sheet) and html formatting as well all of the common special characters (french, german, spanish etc.).
Since it's html formatted you can add external images or swf files to your news !
Another cool feature is the fact that if the news title (on listing or details) is too long, it will be truncated automatically to fit the available space. This way you're sure you'll never mess up the design, even with dynamically generated data.
All the colors can quickly be changed in the xml settings file and the design is quite easy to change within Flash/library.
It supports a virtually unlimited number of sections since the drop-down menu supports scrolling.
