| 8 Lab is a non-intrusive, non agent based web application designed to assist IT professionals in the planning, organization, and management of IT inventory within their Lab or data center. 8 Lab offers the ability to view all IT elements by: IP address, host name, model name, serial number, operating system network adapter (driver & firmware level) rack location and location within the rack, and asset tag number. Additionally it also offers the ability to: view host-to-switch-to-storage mappings, reserve (check out) elements , full visual layout view of your Data center including a graphical view of each rack and granular details of each element within the rack , ability to export views into text comma separated values(CSV), user accounts and a detail log of all activity and changes per user. 8 Lab includes the option to install a web server, so it may be run locally or remotely from any desktop or laptop. Out of the box solution for Windows. UNIX requires PHP/MySQL.

| The only thing that's certain to happen quite regularly on a web page are page requests. This is where pseudo-cron comes into play: With every page request it checks if any cron jobs should have been run since the previous request. If there are, they are run and logged. pseudo-cron uses a syntax very much like the Unix cron's one. All job definitions are made in a text file on the server with a user-definable name (usually crontab.txt). An extensive logging facility is also included for logging job results, and you may choose to receive emails with the job results.

| This is a PHP class that allows you to do unix/linux man page lookups from your website. Easy to use, and produces the results in a nicely formatted layout.
